Together we care
The vision was birthed during the Covid-19 pandemic, in January 2020, when we saw how Health-Workers and Primary Care-Givers worked tirelessly. Some fell ill, while others lost their lives and the lives of their loved ones. Regardless of what happened, they kept on going.

Discover our mission driven approach
To support Caregivers and their loved ones through mental health initiatives, personal development and advocacy, with compassion and advocacy at the core of everything we do. Our Mission is to create a nurturing environment where caregivers fell supported and loved, and their loved ones receive the care and attention they deserve.
To empower and uplift Caregivers, we provide them with the essential tools needed to cultivate a loving and secure environment for themselves and those in their care. Our goal is to support Caregivers in feeling resilient and capable, ensuring they can create nurturing spaces where everyone can thrive.

D'Care Foundation is open to all Newcomers, Family Caregivers, Professional Caregivers, Disabled Caregivers, and Personal Support Workers (PSW) in Canada.
Caregiving can often feel like a solitary journey, but you don't have to walk it alone. Our non-profit is dedicated to fostering a vibrant community where caregivers can connect, share experiences, and build lasting friendships. Through our regular picnics, dinners, and various events across Canada, we create welcoming spaces for you to find understanding, support, and a true sense of belonging.
Your dedication as a caregiver is immense, and we believe it deserves to be seen and celebrated. We are passionate about acknowledging the tireless efforts of caregivers like you, who give so much of themselves. Our special events are designed to be more than just gatherings; they're our way of showing profound appreciation, ensuring you feel truly valued, honored, and special for your invaluable contributions.
The demands of caregiving are significant, and taking time for yourself is not just a luxury—it's essential. Our events offer a much-needed break from your daily routine, providing opportunities for relaxation, stress relief, and rejuvenation. Join us to recharge your mind and spirit, knowing you're in a supportive environment where your well-being is a priority.
Our Activities
Certified Educational sessions focused on CPR, first aid, mask fit testing, medication and food safety, and basic life support. These workshops help caregivers and community members gain practical, life-saving skills and are usually held regularly throughout the year.
A supportive initiative designed to provide non-contact assistance and companionship to seniors living in retirement homes. This program encourages wellness, reduces loneliness, and offers helpful resources for daily living.
A philanthropic outreach during the holiday season where gifts boxes, toys and food are distributed to families and children as a way of spreading joy and appreciation to community members.
A seasonal event that helps children prepare for the school year by providing free backpacks and school supplies, fun activities, and community engagement opportunities for families in the area.
An engaging event where local entrepreneurs can present their business ideas or services to the community, build networks, and get visibility. The event includes live pitches, exhibitor booths, and opportunities for attendees to connect with small business owners.
Annual gala events that honour and celebrate caregivers, bringing together community leaders and supporters to recognise dedication and contributions in caregiving.
Connect and Dine bring caregivers together for social networking, shared meals, and mutual support, helping reduce isolation and build community bonds among caregivers, minority and newcomers.
Collaborative workshops (e.g., Apparel Design with partners like Mood Toronto) that foster creativity, skill development, and self-expression. These focus on hands-on learning and personal growth in art and design.
A free virtual after-school homework assistance initiative where children (typically grades 1–3) receive personalized support from trained volunteers in subjects such as mathematics, kitchen safety, basic computer skills, and nutrition, helping them succeed academically and build confidence.
In our Food Sharing Program, we distribute food and essential food items to community members in need, helping reduce food insecurity and supporting families who may be facing financial challenges.
